PA551ON
США
Добавлен 1 июл 2016
Originally debuting under the name MisterMercy, this RUclips channel debuted in 2016 to cover news and hold discussions about the game that got me into PC gaming, Overwatch. The lore, characters, and gameplay enthralled me like no other game had. Over the years, we've had so many memorable memories here. From various niche Lets Plays, to covering E3 every year (R.I.P.), to the wildly popular Pokemon Documentary. However, in 2020 following a rebranding to my new gamertag PA551ON, the channel went dormant with only the occasional random upload. Overwatch content had ceased as I stepped away from the game.
However, in 2024, I found myself wanting to play the game's sequel, Overwatch 2, after putting aside some of my pre-conceived hang-ups about the game. I jumped back in and fell right back in love with the universe of Overwatch again. Beginning in the game's 12th competitive season, the channel experienced a return-to-form and Overwatch content returned for the first time in 4 years!

Resident Evil 25th Anniversary GMV ["Virus" by Memphis May Fire]
As a huge marvel fan I think it is way better than overwatch. But also marvel has way more characters and way more lore to use compared to overwatch
I think if someone is especially a fan of the comics, this game is great for them. For me personally, I don't want to have to sift through decades of comics to be incentivized to care about the characters. I think the game should be able to stand on its own two feet and be able to make the heroes compelling with its own lore outside of the comics. While some of these characters are the most recognizable faces in fiction, and sure, most people know SOME of the history of these characters, I'd appreciate it if the game didn't automatically assume that and instead gave its own unique lore and reasons to care about and embody these heroes. If Rivals is the only way a person is engaging with these characters and they don't watch the movies or read the comics, they should still be able to form passionate bonds with these characters in a self-contained narrative within Rivals. Overwatch may have less lore compared to the history of Marvel, but at least with Overwatch everyone can get on the same page. The lore is approachable and easily digestible. This is why I feel like other Marvel games like Insomniac's Spider-Man are much more enjoyable because even if you've never read a Spider-Man comic in your life, the game has a complete and contained narrative that can get you invested in the character. Rivals just ASSUMES you ALREADY ARE invested, so it doesn't try to get you to care about any of its heroes.
Man this was an L video funny this came up in mu recommended lmfao the game was way better with hero limits. You thought 6 winstons is fun???
@@b23beatz you're not wrong lol
yeah i have like nothing to hate about this vid ur doing great make more vids and dont give up
I was just about to say something with the awful like/dislike ratio on this video so this comment made me happy to see. Thank you :3
Ana's Mythic Weapon this season was actually a bit better than Reinhardt's Mythic Weapon last season, mainly because of the price difference. For Rein's mythic, $40 just got you the base Level 1 weapon, but with Ana's, that same $40 got you the weapon plus all the upgrades so it was a win in terms of better consumer practices. That being said though I didn't care for it enough to buy it.
This should have a lot more views so boot it with a like
Update: apparently this is not a global thing. It only affects very specific countries (some in Africa and Europe i believe) that recently passed laws about how minors can use online social features.
OW needs the arcane treatment
This will be there last hope. PVE OR THE SHOW. some other game will do what Blizzard should have done and OW will keep making skins that only streamers will buy. Just due to the fact there channel is built from OW content. Or a major change to game play yet I don’t tho that would help.
hey jackasses who think it´s degenerate behaviour to play games - care to explain the mental gymnastics any day now?
I think you misunderstood the channel branding. The degeneracy comes from how much I (and I'm hoping, my audience,) likes lewd shit. The fact we play Overwatch has nothing to do with it.

I love this game but I think its over 😭😭

One thing I really commend FromSoftware on is Elden Ring, for being such a gem of a game Because yes, it has competitive multiplayer, yes it has powerful weapons, spells, abilities, builds, it has a meta, but none of that takes the front seat, it is mostly for the story of Elden Ring, both the casuals who just wanna get on and have fun and the competitive players who wanna prove their skill against other players can do so, hell, both casuals and competitives can even work together to achieve an accomplishment
Very good point. I wonder what the secret formula is as to why games like Overwatch have such a big eSports scene and then you have games like Elden Ring that are just as popular but have a very healthy multiplayer scene?
Your 2 documentary's have been the best and thoroughly intriguing. Take your time man, no rush whats so ever. Good luck :)

Unfortunately, the companies they don’t know what they’re doing, I honestly don’t know what companies know what they’re doing and what companies don’t. From what I’m seeing, it’s not even just the gaming industry, they are so blinded by their own selfishness, for money that they can’t see what’s actually killing the company or companies or industries. I’ve watched and studied how companies make their decisions and that is the main reason why they’re failing. I don’t think will ever see a company that will make a good decision. Besides, probably Elon, I’ve watched Elon for a long time on how he makes his company run and he does it for the people he doesn’t do it for himself and that’s how he’s making so much money. Another thing is I think if you were trying to find one person who could probably fix gaming entirely It would probably be Elon Musk.
W video 🤝 You raise some very valid concerns and I sincerely hope the right people see this video!
Glad your still alive
The story continues...2023.
see i spent 9000 dolars on pokemon cards im dedicated to pokemon idc if pokemon is not good any more i will buy the packs i can huh pokemon bad BAD?!?!?!??! ITS GOOD IT TEACK ME NOOB POKEBALL IS GOOD JYX IS GOOD EVERY THING IS GOOD
Whenever a game is becomes competitive or is made to be like that, the pros will always create a meta, the most efficient way to win, which for me is a very fun killing factor, because it creates a hoard of meta players and unless you follow that specific way of playing you chances of win are simply gone.
It destroys new room for innovation because sweaty tryhards will rant/annoy you about which one should be use and what item blah blah blah
I hate esport gaming, for me the ps3-360 era was the best for online multiplayer, resistance fall of man, halo 3 and Killzone 2 and warhawk. That is why I love splatoon 2 or crash team racing nitro fueled, they are more like the olds internet multiplayer games like uncharted 2.
Gaming never needed to be legitimized and if that's why anyone decided to start playing they are the problem..... instantly just factually wrong lol
If you're talking about people who are getting into these games purely for the competitive aspects with fantasies of going pro in Esports, I don't think that the desire to legitimize gaming is necessarily the reason why they do it. Most people are chasing fame and money when they do that. I think it's more the fans of gaming in general that wish for it to be legitimized, and on paper there's nothing wrong with that. They aren't just children's toys anymore. There should be no reason why games are still looked down on when movies and traditional sports are both completely valid forms of entertainment. Unfortunately, however, arguing for the artistic merits of a game as to why the medium deserves respect hasn't worked nearly as effectively to sway the negative opinions people have about games as well as bragging about the commercial and financial benefits of Esports has. I certainly wish those more artistic elements mattered to more people outside gaming, but it seems like they don't...and as Esports grows more lucrative and profitable, it seems like those artistic elements are starting to not even matter to people actually IN the gaming community either.
13:45 Wish that was said for League of Legends, esports is a plague. At least there are tons of compelling singleplayer titles being released all the time.
Fighting games are the only so called competitive games im into , FPS games are for the no life losers in their parents basement , or in a big city apartment. Men get in get out , don't be a boy playing games your whole life.
rainbow six siege in a nutshell
Any popular fps in a nutshell*
Me brain is getting less and lezs brsin cell the morr I know of this information
Found you on a comment on one of my videos, and I am glad i did, this some good stuff.
one word indie
Only pvp game I've played recently that I can think of that isn't a sweat feast is planet side 2. It's an older game, sorta like a futuristic take on battlefield and its free. Do I see sweats in that game? Nope. Do I see try hards in that game? Nope. Do I see cheaters? Not that I'm aware of. Is the game competitive? It can be at times but not usually, no. It's a heavily team based fps mmo. I went back to playing it after not player for a while and after so much time spent in games like mw and cold war and after being so burnt out on them I needed something refreshing. It made me think, game developers need to start making games for fun again. Not for esports, not for money, but for fun. Video games are supposed to be for entertainment. Not to be a second job.
You bring up a good point as to why multiplayer isn't inherently competitive...MMOs. TECHNICALLY there is an Esports scene for WoW, but as far as I know, not many people take it seriously. WoW even has PvP elements so in theory it should have the groundwork there to grow as an Esport...and yet no matter how much Blizzard pushes it during Blizzcon and the like...no one thinks of WoW as an Esport. We need to ask ourselves why that is. Why has WoW continued to thrive off its characters and lore at the expense of its Esports scene while something like Overwatch has done the exact opposite? Surely it can't be the RPG elements because Overwatch, while containing more shooter DNA, also includes roles like healer and tank and DPS just like a traditional RPG does. It also can't be the fact that it's first person because Fortnite is a third person game just like WoW and Fortnite is still a huge Esport. Just some thoughts to chew on
Amazing video. Where I can find the map at 13:23?
All of my images were pulled from Google image search
Totally agree with what you’re saying. Fifa is a sweat fest, so much I can’t play it no more. No one actually plays football, they abuse the mechanics & create a play to win strategy.... the game has died. Modern warfare is going through motions as well. So many others following suit & I hope there’s a realisation to what’s happening to we can go back to golden era ps3 immersive, entertaining gameplay
There are plenty if casual games. If you want a casual multiplayer that is not competitive don't play multiplayer games.
@@CreativeForgeEntertainment I play casual every now & then but I like a competitive match. The thing is, I can’t enjoy a competitive match if the game itself is broken
@@CreativeForgeEntertainment so dont play multiplayer games cause you said so? Invalid argument
@@CreativeForgeEntertainment I don't agree that multiplayer games are required to be competitive to the extent that they need Esports. Even something like Overwatch would be a perfectly valid and fun game if the competitive queue didn't exist and there was no mainstream Esports scene for it. Taking another example...Tag. The game of Tag is a PvP game. Is there such a thing as competitive, Pro-level Tag? Yes...but it's not mainstream and therefore is not the primary reason people play Tag, that being to have fun. There's no reason multiplayer video games can't be like that. So your argument of "don't play multiplayer if you want casual" is a flawed one and only further serves to highlight my point that the fun nature of games is dying at the hands of corporate greed.
one of the largest failures of a game pandering to e-sports is without a doubt GT sport. Gran Turismo has always been entertainment, with a focus on lots of cars, great offline, casual gaming content and hours of entertaintment...only to have it replaced by not even an hour of actual gaming content and all the rest basically being monotonous online races. Many other games have done the same jump and as such have not just lost easily 50% of their gamerbase and fanbase, but have also seen a significant decline in quality and quantity of sales. Esports should remain within a specialized group of games designed as such, because the way it's going...you might end up losing the entirity of gaming alltogether.
Perhaps instead of trying to make casual games released by big companies for huge profits and entertainment into esports, we should have esport companies who develop esports from the ground up. These are games that can be sold on specific platforms for higher costs with none of the frills and pretenses about it being a fun game. You could sell it for something like $300 - $400 to make sure only the most serious of players are buying and playing it. Don't offer fun game modes. Don't offer fancy animation or voice acting or art direction. Don't offer lore. Just include practice modes, custom matches and the comp ladder. That's it. We need to seperate those who want to go pro from those who want to have fun. Combining them together has made games unplayable for both parties.
@@PA551ON honestly, I never thought of stepping up like that, and saying some thing, but you’re totally right another thing is on the case itself it needs to specifically say E sport game. That way when you’re buying a disk you’ll know what it actually is and what its intent is before you actually purchase it and waste money. It saves a lot of people from complaining all over the Internet, and it saves people from having to look up specific videos on the game. If they were to make Esport games on their own. They need to remove the ability to use any type of glitch in the game in order to win that way they make everything extremely fair. They need to remove the toxic crap in the game so that way it would be easier for people to play and not have their mindset be completely destroyed. I’m going back to what I said about the game case, they should have something digital for when you purchase it online rather than go to an actual physical store that says Eastport game, or esports special.
4 years later I still have the 2016 blizzcon ticket redeemed and I don’t have the diablo pet yet
Good video but you really overstated the "controversies" of Pokémon.
I didn't overstate the controversies. I merely reported them. I do not personally agree with any of them but since this is a comprehensive look at the history of Pokemon, to sweep the fear mongering that many adults tried to drum up around the brand under the rug would do it a disservice. It's a part of the brand's history, as dumb as it is. You can't recreate and reminisce about Pokemania without also remembering all the dumb adults fighting against it.
